These reactions are very strange indeed. It seems there are openings that were never berfore possible. It's almost like they are aware already of the problems and are tired of there defensive posturing. They know that they are trapped in there and don't have the same convictions as before. Maybe things are changing. I would think just one of those apostate comments would have resulted in an instant shutdown or an escoted walk to the door. These witnesses are probably internet savvy nowadays. Good for you moshe. It's nice to have recent updates on the state of these zombies. I have been gone for 20 years myself. Maybe I should give it a try to. Planting these little seed bombs might just some day greatly diminish the hold on these captive minds and the internet can do the rest. I would love to see a huge falling out some day!

My old KH had a personal visit from me today!
by moshe ini was on business in the area of my old congregation ( i live out of state)- the one i first got baptized in back in 1973. they were just getting started on their discussion before service- it was 9:03 am and i just impulsively turned into the parking lot and decided to pay them a surprise visit.
i just walked into the kh and looked at them for 30 seconds.
i didn't recognize anyone and finally they asked me what i wanted.

As a witness was your thinking controlled by symbols
by KAYTEE ini knew an elder who wouldnt buy an alfa romeo (car) because it had a badge at the front of the car with a symbol of a snake on it.
thats the mind boggling effect the wts had on people.. every day normal things, you would question yourself as to weather it had satanic connections with it.. its a wonder how we survived our everyday living?.

I remember proctor and gamble being blacklisted due to some connection to the occult with there co. logo of a quarter moon phase with stars. Don't buy colgate. Before they make such riduculous notions perhaps they should take the cross off of russels pyramid tombstone and bury his associations with freemasonry. Don't buy watchtowers!

Do you have a personal hero?
by zagor ini was just doing my page on myspace and this question really stuck with me.
i dont know if something is wrong with me or what, but if i have to answer this question truthfully i have to say i dont have one.
i like to learn about many different people and their achievements but in reality i just like being myself and not try to emulate someone else.

Imagine correcting Isaac Newtons work, figuring out antigravity, relativity, the photelectric effect and dark matter 100 years ago with nothing but a pencil, in Nazi Germany, as a Jew, and becoming the father of the space age. That was Einstein.

Hi junction Guy! Sorry to here about this situation. If this guy is holding the purse strings I don't know if there's much you can do. I know how that works. Have you ever tried to have a heart to heart with the old coot. Maybe he has health problems that are making him miserable. If neither of these things are so then give shit right back to him. No one should have to put up with that crap. Your poor mother sounds like she's conditioned herself to this abuse. It's funny how people don't look at there situations and leave them when they can. Just like the witnesses. I guess at this point the most you can do is tell her you love her and realize the sacrifices she has made. This will validate her suffering at least and give her more self worth. I don't however think it should condone what he is doing to everyone. Older people don't change there ways as easily. I don't know if I should dispense medical advice but it sounds like your mother suffers from spinal stenosis. In the lower lumbar region of the back there is a canal in the spine through which runs the sciatic nerve. The sciatic nerve runs down to knees and over the years spinal compression or a slipped disc can pinch this nerve and cause a burning sensation in the buttocks, back pain, and numbness in the legs. There are different surgery techniques for this. I do not advise spinal fusion. This only creates further degeneration of the upper and lower discs. The best thing of course is no surgery if possible and exercises that decompress the spine and strengthen the abdomen and lower back muscles. If however surgery is necesary there are far less invasive techniques done with a laser in which the sciatic nerve is slipped out of place and the canal is widened so that the sciatic nerve moves about more freely. It has a much higher sucess rate. I've read many of your post and relate to your situation and how the witnesses messed you up. I hope this helps Kentucky man.

Hi heron. Lots to learn here. You won't regret it a bit. A good EQ is just as valuable as a good IQ. Looking forward to your posts. Don't worry about a thing. Welcome!

As lurkers, what kept you from posting? Fear? Was there a basis for it?
by What-A-Coincidence infor me it was the fear of getting 'caught'?
if that's the case, just don't give out names, places or dates.. i have been on jwd for over 2 years.
the only way 'they' can catch me is if i give out details on the forum.. so lurkers...come out and get empowered!.

I think I was building up confidence by reading the archives really. Getting a jist of the material and trying to figure out where I fit into it and if I would be accepted. I wasn't afraid of getting caught. There couldn't possibly be anything more that they could do to damage my life or the way people veiw me. There's always a fear of course of making a fool of yourself or saying something that you wish you could take back. If you really give what your saying some thought there's nothing to worry about and everybody is going to make a mistake sometime.

All of the above is their problem, but the key problem for them is the internet. All other problems stem from this. When people learn about their coverups it's bad publicity. People can learn anything they want with impunity and the numbers are growing. Those numbers are people and that translates into lawsuits and a falling out. In the end that translates into muchos denarious down the tubes with no hope of recovery. There is squat that they can do about it either. mwooah ha ha ha ha!

My advice for JW youth
by Junction-Guy inif you are reading this board and are having doubts, then please do not rush into baptism.
wait until you are grown, and only then do it if you honestly feel you need to.
once you are baptized, they own you, and you will most likely be shunned if you are ever baptized.

Baptism is only a means of applying more pressure to take more of your time to sell their magazines. In actual fact it means nothing. The ties that bind and the emotional blackmail, come from the depth of your families involvement with the organization. It is them that can make your life a living hell. I was never baptized and felt the full weight of retribution from the power my family gave the ideology. It lasted for years and coloured every aspect of my existence. It is your family that can make you or break you, with no support. If you had support from your family the whole thing could be taken much more lightly, even jokingly and their game would be much easier to expose.
